About Adaptive Wellbeing

Every Body Belongs

At Adaptive Wellbeing, we take an individual approach to wellbeing. We believe every person has strengths, potential and the ability to progress. Our role is to create a supportive space where participants can move, learn, build confidence and work towards meaningful goals at their own pace.

Founded by experienced Muay Thai coach Jay Twomey, Adaptive Wellbeing combines adaptive fitness, boxing-inspired movement, wellbeing support and community activities. Programs are shaped around each participant's abilities, interests and goals, with individual and group sessions available for children and adults.

Our Services

Four Ways We Work Together

Each program is shaped around the participant their abilities, interests, goals and pace.

  • A woman in a pink sports top and black pants, sitting in a wheelchair at the gym, holding her wheelchair armrest with her right hand, and adjusting a pulley in exercise equipment.

    Adaptive Fitness

Personalised movement, strength and conditioning activities designed around each participant's abilities, comfort and goals. Sessions can support fitness, coordination, mobility, confidence and healthy routines.

  • A woman with dark hair in a ponytail wearing red boxing gloves and a beige shirt, standing inside a boxing ring with white ropes and black padding.

    Boxing Programs

Inclusive boxing and Muay Thai-inspired training delivered in a safe, supportive way. Activities are adapted to the individual and may help develop coordination, focus, resilience, confidence and physical fitness.

  • Wheelchair basketball players in action, reaching for the basketball during a game on a polished wooden court.

    Wellbeing Support

Encouraging, goal-focused support that uses movement, routine and positive coaching to promote confidence, motivation, emotional wellbeing and greater independence.

  • Group of people, some in wheelchairs, in a room with white walls, wooden gym equipment, and a window.

    Community Activities

Supported activities that encourage participation, social connection and a sense of belonging. Experiences can be adapted to participants' interests and individual goals.

How We Work

Flexible Support, Built Around the Participant

Choose from individual or group sessions. We begin by learning about the participant their strengths, preferences, support needs and goals then adapt the activity, pace and communication style to create a positive experience.

  • 01

    Get in touch

Call, text, email or send an enquiry. Tell us about the participant and what they would like to work towards.

  • 02

    Talk it through

We discuss goals, interests and support needs, and whether individual or group sessions are the better fit.

  • 03

    Start the first session

We adapt the activity, pace and communication style, then build from there at a pace that feels right.

Families, carers and support coordinators are welcome to contact us to discuss suitability.
